Unlike ingot, which is bought on purity, rolled copper is bought on alloy designation, temper and dimensional tolerance — a fabricator's press and forming tools are set up around those three things, and a load outside tolerance is unusable regardless of how pure the metal is.

What determines the price
Rolled copper prices off the LME copper cash price plus a rolling and fabrication premium. That premium moves with thickness (thin gauge costs more per tonne), temper, width, tolerance, whether cutting to size is required, and order quantity. Freight completes it.
