PU Foam Scrap – Polyurethane Foam Scrap for Sale
Flexible polyurethane foam scrap is the offcut and trim stream from furniture and bedding manufacture — cushion, mattress, sofa, chair and stool production — and it has a single dominant end use: rebonded foam, where shredded scrap is bound under pressure into carpet underlay, gym matting and firm mattress cores. Because rebonding is a density-driven process, foam scrap is bought on density first and everything else second.

• HS code: 3915.90 (waste of other plastics).

What determines the price — Density band (higher density is worth materially more to a rebonder), colour consistency, freedom from fabric and adhesive, bale size and compression, moisture, and freight. Foam is bulky, so freight is an unusually large share of the delivered cost — bale density is effectively part of the price. Send us the density band and monthly tonnage.
Typical applications — Rebonded foam for carpet underlay, gym and play matting, mattress cores and packaging inserts; shredded foam filling for cushions and pet bedding; acoustic and insulation panels.

Three steps to find out the foam scrap you want:
Purity
First of all, there is no doubt that the foam scrap must be clean with no other impurities or rubbish. That’s the basic requirement.
Foam density
There is no absolute good or bad about density actually. Good or bad depends on what kind of rebonded do you want. Regarding the foam scrap, the density you choose should be lower than the rebonded density you foam. Low density foam scrap can be foamed low density rebonded. If you want to foam hard feeling rebonded, you can also use low density foam scrap. But low density foam scrap will cost more rebonded glue. High density foam scrap can be only foamed high density rebonded, and it can cost less glue.
Foam skin
Foam skin is much cheaper than pure foam. It can make the rebonded feel firm and not limp. So you can add more foam skin to foam hard rebonded.
