Virgin LLDPE Granules
LLDPE — linear low density polyethylene — is a copolymer of ethylene with a small proportion of a higher alpha-olefin (butene, hexene or octene), produced in the presence of a catalyst. Its short-chain branching gives it far better puncture and tear resistance than conventional LDPE at the same gauge, which is why it dominates stretch film, heavy-duty sacks and liners. It resembles LDPE in appearance, with relatively poor transparency and good surface gloss.

What determines the price — Ethylene feedstock and regional polyethylene contract prices set the base. Grade, MFI, comonomer type, additive package, packing, quantity and freight adjust it. Recycled LLDPE prices at a discount to virgin, and the discount is set by consistency of MFI, colour and odour. Send us the grade or the target MFI and density with your tonnage.
Typical applications — Stretch and pallet wrap; agricultural and greenhouse film; heavy-duty sacks and industrial liners; geomembrane; rotational moulding of tanks and containers; wire and cable insulation compounds.
Supply terms — Palletised bags or jumbo bags, loaded to 20ft or 40ft container. Technical datasheet and certificate of analysis supplied per lot. Quoted per metric ton, FOB or CIF.

Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) has a highly diverse chain structure with a combination of both small and large side chains. The density of LLDPE ranges between 920-929 kg/m3. It is used for strong, flexible consumer items such as screw caps and lids for bottles. LLDPE is also commonly found in consumer packing, bags, bottles, and liners.
