Expanded polystyrene is 95–98% air, which is the whole commercial problem with it: loose EPS is almost worthless to ship because a container fills by volume long before it reaches any useful weight. The material only becomes tradeable once it is compacted or densified into blocks or ingots, and that is what we supply — sorted white EPS, compacted, sorted by colour and grade before baling rather than after.

What determines the price — Compacted density above all (it sets the freight cost per tonne of polymer), then colour consistency, contamination, whether the material is densified or cold-compacted, source stream, and freight. Tell us your required density and monthly tonnage.
Typical applications — Recycled general-purpose polystyrene (GPPS) pellet production; extruded picture frame, skirting and decorative profile; insulation board manufacture; lightweight concrete and screed aggregate; moulded packaging.
Supply terms — Compacted blocks, strapped and palletised. Available by 40ft high-cube container load — for EPS, 40HQ is the only sensible unit, and even then the loaded tonnage is entirely a function of your compaction density. Pre-shipment inspection available on request at buyer's account. Quoted per metric ton, FOB or CIF.

More so, the gas expands under the action of heat, applied as steam, to form perfectly closed cells of EPS. These cells occupy approximately 40 times the volume of the original polystyrene bead. The EPS beads are then molded into appropriate forms suited to their application. Products made from foamed polystyrene are nearly ubiquitous, for example packing materials, insulation, and foam drink cups.
